Woodmont Wahoos Swim & Dive Teams
The Woodmont Swim and Dive teams are open to families who are current members of the Woodmont Recreation Association pool. If your child is 5 through 18 years old (age on June 1), is comfortable being under water and can swim a full length of the pool, they are eligible for swim team. Swim team members age 8 and under will have a swim test the first day of practice to make sure they are ready and can swim a full length of the pool. Dive team members under age 10 must pass a swim test under lifeguard supervision in order to use the diving boards. Our league is James River Aquatic Club (JRAC).

The Woodmont Recreation Association has been a part of wonderful family-fun summer memories for over fifty years! The Woodmont Family Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Woodmont experience is community centered and family focused. It’s a special learning and sharing opportunity for everyone, parents and kids alike, who join in the fun each year. There is a range of membership options available that will get you in on the fun during our Bloat and Float, July 4th celebration, and lots of social get-togethers. Swim Team Volunteer Policy
Summer swim teams rely on parent and other family volunteers to make swim meets happen and the Woodmont Wahoos are no exception. Each family is required to earn 6 volunteer points a season. You can earn 1 point for working a half-meet and 2 points for working a whole meet. Returning families are required to send 1 parent to a training clinic to help us fill our trained positions (e.g., strokes and turns judge, referee, starter, computer worker). New families are given priority in signing up for untrained positions (e.g., timer, runner, 8 & under parents). To sign up to volunteer, visit our Sign-up and Events Calendar. If you cancel a signup less than 48 hours before a meet, you are responsible for finding a replacement swim team parent to fill your job.
