We are so excited for the 2023 season! A few important notes:

• Swim and Dive team members must be Woodmont Pool members, aged 5-18. Click here to join our friendly, laid-back pool. Click here to register for Swim & Dive team.
• For safety and to get the most out of practice, young swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted (Doggie paddle is totally fine! Pausing on the ropes for a breath is totally fine as long as your swimmer starts again and crosses the pool unassisted!) There will be a session just for new team members the first week of in-the-water practice and any young swimmers who are not quite able to swim the length of the pool unassisted will be referred to our Swim Team Prep program, which will begin registration in June. If you aren't sure about your child's comfort level in the water, have them do some lessons before the first week of practice. Visit our team website for a list of local options for lessons.
• We heard our team and community members and we are happy to share that an evening swim practice option will be returning for 2023, for those swimmers who are not able to make the morning practices and would not be able to join swim team unless they can practice in the evenings. Evening swim practice space will be limited so we can make sure that non-swim team member families have use of at least half of the pool at the same time that practices are occurring, so the registration form includes a space where you need to indicate that you need an evening practice spot, and those spots will be first-come, first-reserved, and will be the assigned practice time for the season.

We have a great season planned, with competitive meets and fun team events. VA Swim Shop will be at swim practice on Wednesday, May 25 to fit everyone for our official team suits. In the meantime, visit our Woodmont Wahoos Team Store to stock up on Woodmont logo gear before the start of the season and start showing your team spirit! A percentage of the total of your purchase comes back to the Wahoos.
