Swim & Dive Starts Monday--Dryland Practices/Team Building
2026 Wahoos, see you at the pool this Monday, 5/18!

Up next, Sat. 5/16 10am-1pm and Sun. 5/17 10am-1pm to get everything set up and ready.

Practices & Meets
Swim and Dive practices begin this Monday, May 18. Visit the team website for the full practice schedule. The first few days will be dryland practice, and coaches will communicate after that about whether we will have in-the-water or dry-land practice, depending on water temperature. The meet schedule is also up on the team site, the league did make schedule changes, so please check if you already put locations on your calendar.
Parent Meeting
The Coaches and the volunteer Aquatics Committee are hosting a Parent Meeting on Thursday, May 21at 6:30pm immediately following practices. This meeting is a great opportunity to get important information about the season and to meet and say hello to our amazing coaches!
Team Suit Fitting & Team Gear
Virginia Swim Shop will be on-site at Woodmont pool for our team suit fitting on Wednesday, May 27 from 4:30-6:30pm. They will be sizing and placing orders for our team suit and will also have goggles for sale. We will also be selling Wahoos swim caps at the suit fitting and at the first couple of swim meets. If you can’t make the team suit fitting, you can visit Virginia Swim Shop at their NOVA Regency location and let them know you need the Woodmont team suit. (Located underneath the parking deck (exterior entrance) at Regency Mall.)
Thanks to the generosity of our team sponsor Lee Hutchinson of The Strum Group Real Estate, each team member who has signed up by the first day of practices will receive a free team shirt, thanks SO much, Lee!
Looking for additional Woodmont swag? Here you go! Hoodies, tanks, and tees, delivered to your door.
Swim Volunteer Requirement
Swim meets are one of the most fun parts of Swim team! It takes A LOT of volunteers to make each meet happen and Woodmont relies on parent volunteers. Returning families, don’t forget to attend the training session(s) you have signed up for. New families, don’t be nervous! There are easy volunteer roles that require no training that you will do this year. There is something for everyone, no matter how much experience you do (or don’t!) have with competitive swimming.
We are excited to launch into an amazing Wahoos Swim & Dive Season!
