*IMPORTANT* Tomorrow night's Meet location has changed & Swim practice on Monday 7/11 will be dryland. Please read full email for more detail.
A note from the Coaches: Our community is a very special, very strong place. We show up for each other, every time. It is truly remarkable. On occasions such as this where there is an unexpected change in plans here is where our Community really shines! When things happen out of our control we step up, make adjustments and keep going. Thank you for being such relisient role models for our future leaders. Let's have a great Meet #5!!

Seating area: Space will be reserved for your swimmers on the deck on the right as you enter the pool. We request that you bring chairs, as ours are limited.
Hospitality: Woodmont will still act as host for hospitality, please see "Volunteer Info"
SWIMMERS:
-Get good rest the night before.
-Hydrate really well the day of.
-Come ready to have fun! Your hard work in practice will shine through in your races!
-Avoid sugary food and drink before and during the Meet.
-Keep it positive!
-Remember your good sportsmanship! You practice it everyday, encourage and cheer on your teammates at the Meet!
-What to Bring: towel(s), goggles, swim cap, healthy snacks, team suit, chairs, sharpies, sunscreen, card games and toys (baby pool will be closed), $ for food, WATER!
PARENTS:
-You are an important part of the team! Your support matters!
-Keep it positive especially after races. Think about the last time you worked really hard on something (maybe a race, built something, led a project at work) and shared your efforts with your family. Were you hoping for their support or immediate critiques of your accomplishments? Probably not! Help them focus on the effort and help them learn their times as that is where they will be able to see their personal progress. Enjoy this season with your Swimmers, and as their Coaches we will focus on how to help your Swimmer improve and grow throughout the season.
-For both practice and Meets please refrain from sideline coaching. This can be confusing to the Swimmers and inhibit the Coaches from doing their jobs.
SWIM TEAM SUITS & CAPS:
-Wear your team suit to compete. If you do not have a team suit or jammer a suit with black and dark blue (team suit colors) is accepted.
-Swimmers wearing caps must wear the cap of their summer league team or a cap with nothing on it. They cannot wear their USA Swimming or high school team cap.
-Swimmers with long hair are required to wear it up in a ponytail or in a swim cap.
- Girls: No tie-back jolyn suits are allowed or any type of suit with a tie.
- Boys: Suits must not go above the navel or below the knees. Make sure your swimmer's suit fits properly.
Exemptions will be granted only for conflicts due to the swimmer’s verified religious beliefs, verified medical conditions or other reasons deemed appropriate. You must have a note for me to turn in to the Referee BEFORE the meet starts in order for them to be exempt. For more information: JRAC Rulebook
**Swim Caps** Why wear them?-
- Prevents Hair from Getting in Your Face
- Eliminates Drag (So You Can Swim Faster)
- Keeps Hair Out of the Pool
- Helps Your Fans (Parents/Family) Spot You in the Pool
Swimmers Aging Up & New Swimmers: Aging into an older age group can be a challenging season for your Swimmer. If you have a Swimmer who is aging up into an older age group, especially the 9/10 age group, they will need some extra encouragement this season as the transition to the next level. They can do it! They will benefit from your help to guide them to focus on time improvements and all of the effort and hard work they are putting in.
